The best place to start at First Park is to attend a Sunday morning service and get connected with a small group. Our small groups meet at 9:00 AM before our 10:30 AM worship service. When you arrive, we have a large welcome area in our atrium where some of our members can help you find where to go.
On Sundays at 10:30am, our whole church family gathers to pray, sing, and read God’s word. You will find people dressed in anything from shorts and a T-shirt to a full suit. Our choir and orchestra lead us in song, singing anything from hymns to contemporary songs that reflect God’s holiness, love, and beauty. Our pastor (or another speaker) will then preach a message that is biblically faithful and culturally relevant.
We have something for all age groups on Sunday mornings. Our Preschool/Nursery wing (ages birth through 5) offers care in a completely secured wing of our building for Small Groups and the main service.
Our Children’s Ministry offers classes for elementary age children during Small Groups. Parents must check in children in the children’s hallway upstairs so that we can keep our children safe during and after the small group hour. During service, our elementary age children join us in the worship service. That can make things noisy at times, but we strongly believe in the power of God’s Word and his Gospel to work in the heart of even the smallest child.
Our Student Ministry also offers small groups for our JH and HS students at 9:00 am upstairs.
We are located just to the south of 23rd street in the heart of Nicoma Park, west of Choctaw and north of Midwest City. We have guest parking on the east side of our building along Nichols Dr. We also have parking lots to the north and south sides of the building.
Joining a Church is one of the most important decisions a Christian can make. We regularly offer a one week New Members Class during the 9:00am small group hour on Sunday mornings. This is a great time to hear more about our church and ask any questions you may have. If you do decide to join, the class will go over the next steps to take toward church membership.
