About Us
Get to know more about what makes us different.
Recognizing that God has blessed us so that we can be a blessing, We Care serves our community with the overwhelming abundance God has showered on us. Caring people, partnering together, to touch the world for Jesus. Our mission is to offer hope and help to those in need within our community as an example of Christ's love and care. Our goal is to effectively connect enthusiastic volunteers with the needy through our efforts to alleviate physical and emotional hunger in a dignified and supportive manner. It is our intention that people receive not only food for their physical hunger, but generous
portions of kindness, grace, and prayer to feed their spiritual and emotional hungers. We believe from the words of Jesus that this is one way we can respond directly to God's love for us: "For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in." Matthew 25:35. The hungry people in our communities come from many different ethnic backgrounds; they include elderly, adults, and children. They may be employed with low wages, unemployed, living on social security, social security disability, or even homeless.
