For even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve...
Here at First Park, we encourage our people to WORSHIP God, GROW in small groups and SERVE inside and outside the walls of our church. We believe that the act of service is an overflow of the Christian walk.
Serve in our church
Use your unique gifts to help build the Kingdom.
Romans 12:4-5 - "For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another."
How do I volunteer?
Volunteering at our church is encouraged for the members of our church. Members that desire to use their gifts should contact specific ministry leads or the church office to inquire about serving opportunities that currently need to be filled. Here is a list of most of our weekly serving opportunities inside our church walls: Greeters, Sound Team, Video Production Team, Choirs, Orchestra, Choir Director/Helper, Security Team, Sunday School Teachers, Small Group Leaders, Kids Ministry Team, Student Ministry Team, Nursery Workers, Coffee Shop Team, Deacons, Website Team and many more.
How do I volunteer with kids?
It is our priority to provide the best and safest environment for our children so they can comfortably learn about Jesus. If you have a desire to work with our kids, you will need to contact Rachel (our Children's Director) or Robin (our Preschool Director). All volunteers working with kids or students will be required to comply to a background check every 18 months of service. Individuals that pass our background check requirements will be able to serve in any capacity the ministry leader deems appropriate.
How do I volunteer with music?
There are numerous opportunities within the music ministry to serve. Most of these opportunities require no prior musical abilities (singing, teaching, etc.). Only serving in the Orchestra requires an audition. For more information visit our music page. You can also contact our music secretary, Lora Eckart or the Associate Pastor of Music and Worship, Don Scott.
How do I volunteer with students?
First Park Students meet 2-3 times each week. Therefore, there are 2-3 different opportunities to serve within the student ministry. We have Sunday school Teachers, Refuge (Wednesday Night) Volunteers and mature Christians that desire to walk alongside students as they grow in Christ. We always desire parents (or any other willing individual) to serve in these capacities. If you have a desire, contact Josh (Associate Pastor of Students and Media). All volunteers working with kids or students will be required to comply to a background check every 18 months of service. Individuals that pass our background check requirements will be able to serve in any capacity the ministry leader deems appropriate.
